About this course:
This interactive online course gives you the knowledge to ensure your project is delivering the expected results. You will gain a strong working knowledge of the basics of project design, monitoring and evaluation (DM&E) in the context of project management and be able to immediately use that knowledge to effectively manage your projects.
Course Audience:
This course is designed for all people that want to improve the way results are managed in their projects, including professionals wishing to upgrade their skills and knowledge, team members, supervisors of project managers and students of project management. Participants to our courses come from various parts of the world, a medium level of reading and writing English is recommended.
Course Objectives:
Upon successful completion of the Project Monitoring and Evaluation Online course participants will: Understand the monitoring management processes and evaluation results, know the steps required to plan and manage project monitoring and evaluation methods and develop an effective project DM&E system.
Course Requirements:
Understand the characteristics of a information management and its process deliverables. Understanding of projects, project leadership, project management and/or related experience is a recommended requirement. It is recommended that students have completed the online course “Fundamentals of Project Management” to have a good understanding of key definitions and concepts of project management.
Learning Methodology
Course activities are asynchronous; students are not required to be online at a specific time. All course material can be downloaded. Students participate in discussion forums, take online tests and submit exercises for review by the instructor. Learning is guided by social constructionist pedagogy, where students participate and share their experiences with each other building a common knowledge of project management.
