About this course:
This is an advanced level, online course, that will give you the skills to ensure your projects are completed on time and on budget while satisfying the needs of stakeholders. You will gain a strong working knowledge on the nine processes of project management and be able to immediately use that knowledge to successfully deliver the intended objectives. Participants are encouraged to come to the course with a project for which they can use for all course exercises.

Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of the Effective Project Management Online course participants will: Understand the nine process areas of project management, know the steps required to plan and manage each project management process and use the primary planning and monitoring documents for a project.
Course Requirements
Understand the characteristics of a project and its process deliverables. Understanding of projects, project leadership, project management and/or related experience is a recommended requirement. It is recommended that students have completed the online course “Fundamentals of Project Management” to have a good understanding of key definitions and concepts of project management. A medium level of reading and writing English is recommended.
Learning Methodology
Course activities are asynchronous; students are not required to be online at a specific time. All course material can be downloaded. Students participate in discussion forums, take online tests and submit exercises for review by the instructor. Learning is guided by social constructionist pedagogy, where students participate and share their experiences with each other building a common knowledge of project management.
